Pre-finalists for 'Spanish Student of the Year'

The new generation is making a strong impact: these are the pre-finalists for 'Spanish Student of the Year' at the 2023 Fígaro Awards

The ten selected individuals will have the opportunity to shoot their first collection with the renowned photographer Esteban Roca, to capture the best image to compete for the coveted award.

The success of any profession relies on ensuring its future: the young people who, through their contributions, will make it grow and progress. This would be impossible without education, especially when it comes to hairdressing, a trade that involves technique, dedication, constant innovation, and above all, passion.

That's why this year, the Fígaro Awards have introduced a new category: 'Spanish Student of the Year,' to highlight the work of Spanish training centres and the efforts they make to prepare the future talents of hairdressing.

As Club Figaro says about this first edition: "It has been a total success! We are thrilled with the fantastic reception that this new award has received from the students and academies in its first year. This is just the beginning, and we will continue to work towards more academies and students joining Club Fígaro." They further added, "There were 28 applicants from all over Spain, and what has excited us the most is seeing their videos explaining why they want to be hairdressers."

Among all the applicants, 10 pre-finalists have been selected, who will now have the opportunity to have a photoshoot with the renowned photographer Esteban Roca, in order to capture the best possible image for each participant. This technical session will take place on May 22nd at IFEMA MADRID.
